Jeremy Williams has built a successful portfolio career for himself as a pluralist non-exec and will share his experiences and what he learned as he did so.

ECGI 2027 University of Delaware John L. Weinberg Center Corporate Governance Symposium

The John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance and the Department of Finance at the Lerner College of Business & Economics, University of Delaware, in collaboration with Management Science and ECGI, will host an in-person symposium and research paper competition on Friday, 12 March 2027. Up to three papers will be selected as winners of the John L. Weinberg/IRRCi Research Paper Award, each receiving a $10,000 prize. The symposium will feature a keynote by Wei Jiang, Charles Howard Candler Professor of Finance at Emory University's Goizueta Business School and 2026 President of the American Finance Association.

ECGI 20th Annual Corporate Governance Academic Conference at Drexel University

In collaboration with ECGI and the Society for Financial Studies (SFS), the Raj & Kamla Gupta Governance Institute at Drexel University invites papers in any area related to corporate governance, which includes topics about the board of directors, executive compensation, ownership structure, shareholder activism, institutional investors, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, sustainable finance, regulation, talent management, etc.

The conference will take place on Friday, 16 April 2027 at Drexel University. All participants must attend in-person.



The keynote speaker for this year’s conference is Jeffrey Coles, Professor of Finance and the Samuel S. Stewart, Jr. Presidential Chair of Business at the David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah and Research member of ECGI. Professor Coles has conducted extensive research in the areas of compensation, boards of directors, corporate governance and control, and organization structure. He has published numerous academic papers in premier journals, and his work has also been covered in a wide spectrum of business publications.

ECGI 2027 Global Corporate Governance Colloquium

The thirteenth annual GCGC Conference will be hosted by Yale University, in New Haven, USA on 11-12 June 2027. The Conference Committee is inviting researchers to submit recent papers, or extended abstracts on corporate governance (no maximum word count).



The aim of the conference series is to attract current research papers of the highest scholarly quality in the field of corporate governance. The conferences are primarily 'academic to academic' events with some participants from industry and the public sector including the practitioner partners of GCGC and other invited panelists. Japan Exchange Group (JPX) is a practitioner partner.
